Is my gift tax-deductible?
Gifts to the St. Helena Catholic Church and School are tax deductible as to the maximum allowed by law. The application of such laws varies with individual financial circumstances. Parishioners with specific questions regarding tax deductibility should contact their accountant and/or attorney.
What is the difference between the Offertory, Diocese of Santa Rosa Campaign, and the St. Helena Catholic Church Capital Campaign?
Regular offertory provides funds for the day-to-day operating costs of this individual parish. Our Capital Campaign Mission will address the church building needs and the new Parish Life Center building, as well as complete the needed School improvements and the installation of the new commemorative Saint Helena Plaza.
What is the timeline for each of the Capital Campaign Mission?
With Gods help and yours, we will to break ground in late fall of 2015 and complete construction by June 2016, in time to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of our St. Helena Catholic Church and Parish.
How long is the pledge period for a Capital Campaign gift?
The pledge period for this campaign is three years if needed.
Are their naming opportunities for the new buildings?
Yes, commemorative pavers are available for certain levels of giving. For larger gifts to honor the living or deceased, we have naming opportunities for meeting rooms in the Parish Life Center such as, the Teen Center, the Kitchen, and other rooms.
How will you sustain these new buildings?
Wedding receptions and other Parish and Community receptions and events will provide additional income throughout the year.
How do I know that my donation to this campaign or respective parts will go towards the components outlined in the case? If I designate my donation for a particular component of the campaign, what oversight is there to honor my intention?
We will ensure that the funds raised for our Mission 150 Capital Campaign will be used exclusively for the components outlined in the campaign case for support. Oversight by the Parish Financial Council, along with the Campaign Leadership Committee, will ensure the specific distribution of funds to our designated needs.
