PRAYER SERVICE

November 15, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Light of Christ is still within us to shine…

Dear Friends in Christ;

While there are blue and red sides throughout our nation and the state of our country, over the past several days there has been open protest by the results of the Presidential election. Some people are expressing fear, distrust, and emotional distress about President Elect Donald Trump.

It is my belief that it is a time for Christians, truly all people, to come together and give witness of His light in us and foment dialogue, expression, prayer and peace.

I invite you and all our parish and community to come together on TUESDAY night 11/15 at 7:00 PM in our church for a calming prayer service, invitation and opportunity for people to express themselves without fear. The church or synagogue or mosque is the place where we can raise one another up as a faith family, despite politics. For Christians it is also the place that ignites His light so that we can witness that all people are sacred and worthy of prayers.

Unity at home, in our workplace and community can spread by our witness. One by one we can pass the light of Christ to shine through this time of strife for many and bring hope in our oneness.

We are Christ in the world, let us show that beginning in our faith home—it will catch on.

Blessings with continued prayers for all, Fr. Gordon
